Regynald G. Washington, CFBE, FMP
Regynald G. Washington is the Chief Executive Officer and an active member of the Board of Directors of Hojeij Branded Foods. He is a former elected officer and board member of the National Restaurant Association and served as chairman of the board for the administrative term of 2003-2004.
Prior to joining HBF in 2010, Regynald was Vice President of Worldwide Food and Beverage operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, with food and beverage responsibilities for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Paris Resort, Disneyland Hong Kong Resort, and Disneyland Tokyo Resort. Regynald also had additional responsibilities for new products and concept development for Walt Disney World Resorts. His previous experience also includes serving as Vice President and General Manager for Disney Regional Entertainment, where he had responsibility for the strategy, direction, and growth of Disney’s ESPN Zone sports entertainment and food and beverage brand.
Regynald has earned dual certification as a Foodservice Management Professional through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and as a Certified Food & Beverage Executive, a credential issued by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Regynald is a graduate of Florida International University, holding a Bachelor’s of Science degree in International Hotel & Restaurant Administration.
In 2015, Regynald gifted a significant donation to Georgia State University’s Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. The graduate program is now named the Regynald G. Washington Master of Global Hospitality Management.
Liz McCurtain is Chief of Staff of Hojeij Branded Foods. In her role, she works closely with the CEO, President of Business Development, CFO and Operating Executive Vice Presidents on driving strategic and operational initiatives for HBF.
Prior to joining HBF, Liz worked in management consulting as a Manager at Bain & Company. Liz led teams and worked with executives across several industries to solve diverse business problems, including business-unit strategy, organizational redesign, merger integrations, and purchasing/process improvement.
Liz also previously worked at QGA Public Affairs in Washington, DC. At QGA, Liz served the firm’s clients on a variety of public relations and government relations topics. She developed strategy and messaging, and she conducted outreach to the media, members of Congress, and the executive branch.
Liz earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University.
Andy joined HBF in December 2016 in the newly created role of Chief Development Officer. He will be working with the business development team to oversee day-to-day activities to grow the company.
Prior to joining HBF, Andy was senior vice president and leader of the retail planning and management practice of Unison Consulting. He was with Unison more than 18 years. He led numerous airport retail planning, implementation, and management projects for more than 25 airports, including the award-winning concessions programs at JFK Terminal 4, Dallas Love Field, Chicago Midway, and Memphis, as well as engagements at Denver, Indianapolis, Austin, Tampa, and Miami. During this time, he has been involved with airports ranging in size from 200,000 to more than 30 million annual enplanements, and diverse topics such as food service and retail concessions space planning, demand analysis, RFP development and evaluation, contract negotiations, financial management and analysis, merchandising, and property management.
Before Unison, Andy worked 15 years in commercial real estate developing and implementing asset management strategies for regional malls, community shopping centers, and office buildings. He is a regular panelist or moderator at various concessions industry conferences including Airport Revenue News, ACC/AAAE Planning and Design, ACI-NA Business of Airports, and ACI-NA Legal Affairs Conference, as well as AMAC, and serves on the ACI-NA Commercial Management Committee Steering Group.
Andy earned a BA in economics and Master of Management in finance degrees, both from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Mark Beidel was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Hojeij Branded Foods in February 2016. Mark is an airport industry executive with deep experience in the hospitality and concessions business.
From 2006 to 2016, he served as CFO of XpresSpa, growing the leading operator of spa and wellness centers in airports from six to more than 50 locations. Before that, Mark worked with W H Smith Plc, the $5 billion publicly traded U.K. company, for sixteen years.
While Mark was a Senior Financial executive for W H Smith’s $400 million U.S. business, he managed a portfolio of 40 ACDBE partners in 19 major cities for the $200 million airport division. During his tenure with W H Smith, Mark was appointed the first Finance Director (CFO) of the $300 million U.K. Travel Retail business.
Mark attained a Master of Taxation degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, and earned an undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
Stephanie Case Fischer is our Executive Vice President overseeing Learning & Development, Guest Experience and New Store Openings. Her expertise is critical to HBF’s commitment in providing over the top guest experience to all passengers. She is also responsible for all learning and development for the organization including new hire orientation, brand training and guest engagement. Stephanie has an impressive professional background in food and beverage spanning over 20 years. Stephanie has experience with several of the industry’s top organizations, including Disney and Dunkin Brands. At Disney, she was the Learning & Development manager overseeing all training for food & beverage and merchandise line of business at Epcot. She was instrumental in the training program each year for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and educating 500+ “Cast Members” every year. Stephanie earned a Master of Business Administration from Stetson University and earned a B.A. in Journalism & Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from the University of Hawaii.
Claude Guillaume is our Chief Operating Officer – Eastern Region, focused on delivering memorable guest experiences in all HBF restaurants. Claude has more than 25 years of experience and a strong track record of success in the restaurant and hospitality industry. He spent five years leading Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse and received Zagat’s Best Service in Atlanta. Claude and Chef Guenter Seeger opened Seeger’s Restaurant in 1997 and under Claude’s leadership, gained the Mobil Five Star Award 18 months after opening. He is among an elite group of restaurateurs to achieve this impressive distinction in a short period of time. Claude was also responsible for food and beverage operations for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Buckhead, an AAA 5 Diamond property. Claude is a graduate of Ecole hôtelière Jean Drouant in Paris, France and graduated with a Baccalauréat technologique – Sciences et technologies de l'hôtellerie et de la restauration (which is Culinary Art, Art of the Table and Hotel Management Responsibilities Degree).
Zak Thamert is HBF’s Chief Operating Officer – Western Region, ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience when visiting one of our many QSR locations. Zak has over 25 years of food and beverage leadership, hospitality, service, and culinary experience, including 10 years as an industry leading Executive Chef. Zak joined HBF in 2011 in the role of Vice President of Operations, in which he developed, opened, and oversaw the management and operation of 21 HBF restaurants at Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Dallas Fort Worth, and Houston George Bush airports. Zak is an expert in QSR operations and has cultivated strong relationships with many of our QSR partners, including Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, Popeyes, Qdoba, and Pei Wei.
David Ho, our Vice President of Information Technology, is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems.
David previously spent more than 20 years as Senior Systems Manager for Larson Juhl, a Berkshire Hathaway company that designs and manufactures custom picture framing products. During that time, David provided leadership in the development of business systems, including both hardware and software, to help the company grow annual sales from $75 million to $300 million.
David earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA and earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL.
As Vice President of Finance, Mia Spivey works closely with the CFO to manage the financial health of the company. Mia has devoted her professional career to honing her skills in finance and accounting while holding positions of increasing responsibility at HBF, where she previously served as Corporate Controller before assuming her current position. Mia manages the operations of the HBF accounting department and works closely with landlord financial representatives, banks, and vendors. She is responsible for preparation and submission of all financial reports and payment of concession and other fees. She also ensures timely submission of yearly audit reports, insurance certificates, financial statements, payroll taxes, sales tax returns, and any other tasks related to financial compliance. Mia earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Northwood University, Midland, MI.
